Resident Engineer (Multi Utilities Plant) – 8 months contract

- Renewable Energy with >150MW of Rooftop and Large-Scale Solar and has developed a 1 GW pipe and ambition to take leadership position in Malaysia and the Philippines
- Gas Distribution where currently we own a 40% stake in PTT NGD in Thailand, a business of gas distribution to the industrial sector.
- Integrated Facilities Management (FM).
- Acquisition of companies in South East Asia in various fields (DCS, FM, M&E Construction, Data Center, Refrigeration, and the like)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Construction Project Manager, the Resident Engineer duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following :
- To Oversee the commencement implementation, completion and handing over of all items of work included in the contract in compliance with Singapore regulation and rules and project specifications
- Check and supervise the work according to the contract documents and ensure that the methods, procedures and materials used comply with the prevailing statutory standards
- To carry out drawing review, site supervision, inspection and monitor progress of the works
- To check that contractor executes preliminaries items
- To check all drawings
- To attend all site meetings and report progress of works during the site meetings
- To verify reports submitted by contractor
- To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works
- To keep accurate record of variations as instructed
- Assist QP(S) in the daily supervision and coordination duties.
- Willing to work on rotation shifts
- Attend site meetings and resolve technical issues with Contractor.
- Keep quality records of all works, monitor & report on work progress.
- Review and comment on contractor’s submissions.
- To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by BCA/IES/ACES, with minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a Civil Engineer, including minimum of two (3) years of relevant experience handling and supervising civil/structural/building/geotechnical works.
- Has good working knowledge of geotechnical and instrumentation and civil and structural and building works and compliance to Singapore Building Regulations.
- Must be a registered and practicing Resident Engineer for the past 3 years.
- Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a BCA registered Resident Engineer (RE)
