Accelerating Malaysia’s Low-Carbon Transition with Scalable Energy Solutions

Malaysia is targeting a 45% emissions reduction by 2030, increasing demand for cost-effective, low-carbon energy solutions. ENGIE is helping businesses reduce energy consumption and costs, while transitioning to cleaner alternatives - lowering their carbon footprint and achieving operational excellence with expertise in district cooling, onsite renewables, and energy management - all without the need for upfront capital investment.

Malaysia’s industrial sector is one of the highest energy consumers, requiring decarbonisation at scale. As carbon regulations tighten and industries face rising utility and production costs, energy efficient solutions and alternatives to fossil fuels are becoming essential. Besides, the real estate market is shifting towards green-certified developments.

ENGIE is leading our Utility-as-a-Service energy efficiency projects in Malaysia by modernising and decarbonising industrial sites in the country with efficient and guaranteed energy management; Through the partnership with Megajana , ENGIE is also providing efficient cooling solutions to Cyberjaya city. In real estate, our partnerships with Sunway and Gamuda shape sustainable urban projects by integrating onsite renewables and smart energy management. We also work on Large Scale Solar Renewables Projects.
